Over the past few years the public has become increasingly aware of the activity of paedophiles. In response to this problem Broken Trust Shared Feelings has been developed.
Broken Trust Shared Feelings is an education initiative aimed at Key Stage 3 pupils that informs and enables discussions about paedophile activity. In a series of lessons, pupils are encouraged to explore issues around needs, friendships and trust before looking at how a paedophile operates. Developed by a multi-disciplinary team in Essex the pack includes:
• 1 video 'In Any Town In Any Street', a dramatic representation of how a paedophile operates
• 1 teacher support video, explaining how to use the pack
• 1 set of briefing notes, on paedophile behaviour
• 1 set of suggested lesson plans
• 100 leaflets for children, on paedophile activity and what to do
• 100 leaflets for parents.
