The Equip Training Programme is a three-part intervention method for working with antisocial or behavior disordered adolescents. The approach includes training in moral judgment, anger management and promoting social skills.
The user-friendly Implementation Guide provides a collection of reproducible programme forms, student handouts/ worksheets, and guidelines for group leaders and teachers. It presents step-by-step guidelines for leading sessions and for training and motivating staff and group members.
The Equipped for Life Game can be used independently or to enhance EQUIP training. Playing the game helps youth learn to think and act responsibly, as they move their tokens around the game board, they are asked to identify problematic behaviour and replace them with constructive action plans. Topic areas include: daily living, education, relationships, school, community, substance abuse, employment, and after school activities.
The Equip Programme is especially useful for at-risk students who have behavioural and emotional difficulties.
This set includes the Programme Book, Implementation Guide and Equipped for Life Game.
