Getting Along with Others includes two books a Programme Guide and a Skill Lessons & Activities Notebook. The books provide strategies for teaching 17 core social skills such as:
• Joining a conversation
• Following directions
• Giving and receiving positive feedback
• Sharing
• Handling name calling and teasing.
The Programme Guide introduces 32 training activities, five main teaching strategies, and nine additional techniques for improving social skills.
The Skill Lessons & Activities Notebook provides step-by-step instructions for teaching skills and contains teacher scripts, role plays, group activities, relaxation training and homework assignment.
