Guns & Knives

Guns & Knives has been developed to help young people understand the real life implications of becoming involved in a culture of guns and knives. It graphically illustrates what can happen when young people carry weapons and shows, in vivid detail, the subsequent involvement of an armed response unit. Ideal for KS 3 & 4, this resource is also suitable for those at risk of exclusion, including young offenders.

It advocates an extremely strong message that carrying guns and knives has grave consequences and looks at why young people resort to arming themselves with deadly weapons.

All actors in the dramatisations are secondary school students and the DVD is supported by printable teacher’s notes and lesson plans on an accompanying CD Rom. Activities include:
