Product Description
This toolkit provides everything a school needs to set up class and school councils. It is based on training and work in schools carried out by School Councils UK over a period of nine years. The toolkit is divided into two sections covering training sessions for teachers and for pupils all with a step-by-step session plan. Materials include photocopiable handouts, OHPs and worksheets. Pupil councils make a positive contribution to every aspect of the school community:
• Behaviour improves when they draw up and agree charters of behaviour
• Every child has a chance to be an active citizen, providing the experience, knowledge and skills required for the PSHE and citizenship curriculum
