Product Description
Look at truanting and its consequences with this innovative game, which allows players to consider other choices, offers rewards for regular attendance at school and sanctions for non-attendance. To win a player must attend all 14 lessons on the board by landing on different lesson squares, attending registrations or earning commendation points. A player who chooses not to attend school must see the Education Welfare Officer (EWO). Three interventions by the EWO result in the truant being sent to court. Designed initially by a student who had been a persistent non-attendee, Truant has been further developed and tested by a wide range of students. Devised and compiled by staff and students of the Behaviour Support Centre at Teignmouth Community College, Devon.
