This beautifully photographed lotto game is a fun and interesting way for children to learn to recognise and explore common 2D shapes. It is an excellent resource for children aged 7-11 and older children with special needs who are learning about the properties of shapes.
Each board has nine playing squares showing shapes and real-life objects. Players match these images to cards on which the equivalent property or shape is shown. In this way, they learn about attributes such as sides, corners and reflective symmetry, as well as how to recognise shapes as real-life objects, in a repeating pattern and as half of their original form. This brilliant, adaptable game focuses on the following 2D shapes:
• Circles
• Squares
• Rectangles
• Equilateral triangles
• Hexagons
• Pentagons.
