Staying Safe on the Internet
Description
This film footage teaches children not to give out personal information, not to open messages from people they don’t know and not to meet anyone from the Internet in person. There is also a selection of activities to reinforce this information. The material helps children to:
• Be aware of the Internet’s extensive and useful features
• Recognise nevertheless that using the Internet has certain dangers
• Understand the basics of responsible Internet use
• Learn essential rules for staying safe online
• Know to turn to an adult for help when something they see online scares them or makes them uncomfortable
• Learn how to protect themselves from Internet dangers and still have fun.
