The boisterous energy, sense of fun and enthusiasm for hands on learning which is typical of many boys, (and girls) does not always sit easily alongside the pressure that schools feel to concentrate on core subjects, hit targets and get things down on paper.

Yet there are many schools in which boys do succeed in equal measure to girls. This book concentrates on those approaches which we find in schools where boys do well.
