The Who I Can Be Is Up To Me – Programme Guide promotes self-determination and coping strategies to students with learning disabilities. The programme addresses student awareness and self-advocacy needs through a series of 15 sessions.
Students learn to understand their strengths and weaknesses and become better prepared to meet the challenges they may encounter at school, at home, and in the community. They also learn how to stand up for themselves and explain their disabilities in a calm, reasoned manner in order to get the assistance or extra help they may need
in various settings.
Paired with the Student Manual Who I Can Be Is Up To Me provides helpful background information, learning objectives, and step-by-step instructions for implementing the curriculum.
